Bewdiful Naycha 20/20 Vision, Adele Daniele 2020

Show Us your ‘rona Group exhibition, 2020

Curated by TempContemp, the exhibition Show Us Your ‘Rona emerged from the unique experiences of jewelers during the Covid-19 pandemic. As an invited participant, I, although not traditionally classified as a jeweler, approached the opportunity as an artist immersed in solitary communion with nature. Nature, in this instance, became a dynamic gallery showcasing jewels of its own. Each day, I immersed myself in the natural world, engaging in a profound dialogue with the environment. Through this introspective journey, I absorbed, learned, and mourned. My inner world found manifestation in drawings, journal entries, and tears that mingled seamlessly with the rain showers. My daily routine included documenting the intricate details of ecosystems through photography, capturing the vibrant life of flowers, birds, and insects. And the stillness of midnight inspired me to compose songs. Show Us Your ‘Rona invites viewers to witness the transformation of my solitary experiences into a gallery of profound artistic expression along side some of the most innovative contemporary jewelers in the world. DECOLLétage

A jewelled ode and love song to spiders

Written and performed by Adele Daniele, 2020

I wept in mother’s garden

As she dangled impossible jewels

Suspended above and out of reach

A dripping conical flower

Hanging by silk thread

Attached to a single leaf

Spinning in the rain

And if that wasn’t enough

To make you cry

Another made of beads of rain

Delicate and glistening

Never to adorn a décolletage

I wept in mother’s garden
